Booo!

Today's Pooch Cafe'

This morning, 45 minutes before I had to be to work, I made my costume completely from scratch. I was a butterfly :) Cut out cardboard wings, covered them in extra fabric I had laying around the place, and stapled it all together. It kinda fell apart different times through out the day, but whatever, in the end, it all worked out.

One of my co-workers, Kelly, came dressed in a big red dragon costume. The costume, however, was made for a child lol. So it was a little small, but it was the funniest thing I'd seen in a long time. However, when a small child, 4 years old or so, came in wearing the exact same costume...I don't know. That was the topping on the cake.

I've only had 2 trick or treaters tonight :(. And it's 11pm. I either missed them all while I was at work, or they just don't go to apartment buildings, or it's too freakin' cold to come door to door. Anyway, neither of them had costumes on! As I was giving them some candy, I asked what they were supposed to be, and the one kid said, "I'm supposed to be Gilligan from Gilligan's Island, but I left my hat at home." And then the other kid didn't say anything, but held up his backpack with a Jason mask in it, and was holding a plastic knife...Okay...

Had to buy a new DVD player 'cause mine karked it on me. I was so freakin' pissed. Every time I would close it, it would close, then open. So I shook it. Then a piece fell out. So I tried to put it back in, after taking it apart with my scissors...Yeah. Still didn't work. Now it would stay shut, but the screen would say "Loading" even if there wasn't a disk in it, and didn't do anything! I just wanted to watch Dawn of the Dead with Amy and scare her!

So I put it on my credit card 'cause I can't really afford it right now. Whoops.

The really weird thing? My mom's DVD player at home wouldn't work, either. And she was trying to watch Dawn of the Dead, too! Except hers wouldn't open, and mine wouldn't stay closed. She said it was a Halloween/Dawn of the Dead conspiracy. I think she's right.
